It turns out that Marilyn may have been pregnant before she died, and there is photo evidence that may very well prove this. But is this all just a sham? She wasn’t just a beautiful actress, she alone represents two major sides of the American dream — coming from nothing and then losing everything in the process. She’s one of the true American tragedies, and as a result, it’s birthed a sort of international obsession. The baby bump. Speaking of birth, new photos have surfaced that may very prove that Marilyn Monroe was pregnant. This is news that had never before surfaced, but these photos that have just been revealed may very well point out the truth: that Marilyn Monroe could have, at one point in time, been a mother. Unearthing the truth. Some secrets and truths die with people. However, there can at least be some semblance of truth when photos are unearthed that may very well serve as evidence. This is exactly what happened with Marilyn when photos turned up at a Hollywood auction showing what many believe is a baby bump. The secret-keeper. When someone passes, there is only so much more about them that you can learn. Everything simply dies with them. However, with friends and family, you at least have a shot at learning a shred of something. This is exactly the case with Marilyn, according to the Daily Mail, and her friend, Frieda Hull. Holding onto memories. For years, Hull had been holding onto some photos that had never been seen by the public. At the very least, no one else had access to the photos. However, Hull auctioned the photos off for $2,240, which, if you’re a collector, you should aware that they ought to have gone for a price much, muchhigher than the price that was agreed upon. Unaware of the significance. It turns out that the collectors who purchased the photos, as well as the collectors who overlooked the photos, weren’t quite aware of how significant these photos are. To some, this may as well be one more piece to a puzzle in better understanding what was going on behind close doors, so to speak, with Marilyn Monroe. The “pregnant slides.” During the auction, the photos were clearly listed as being “pregnant slides,” and yet they didn’t quite get the attention they probably deserved. Also, whether or not Hull was being completely honest about her labeling of the photos remains to be seen. The early stages. Though Marilyn never made any mention to the public about a pregnancy, Hull insists that she was. She explains that she had been informed of the pregnancy, and that the “bump” in the photos during a costume and hair test for an upcoming film reveal what few people at the time had been aware of. A tragic end. A close confidante, Hull explained that Marilyn very much wanted a child, but was unsuccessful at becoming pregnant. No matter how many times she tried, she always ran into problems. In fact, for all of her attempts, she had experienced three miscarriages. The “baby bump” would be her fourth. A Hollywood scandal. When the photos were taken, Marilyn was caught up in something of a scandal. Though she was married to Arthur Miller, the acclaimed playwright who had written the play for which her upcoming film had been based on, she had been having an affair which most people were aware of. The father. So, with this scandal, and according to Hull, it turns out that Miller was not the father. She had been having an affair with Yves Montand, an Italian-French actor with whom she was allegedly very happy. Hull claimed that Montand was the father. Death of a friend. Since Hull had passed away before anyone could ask her about the photos, we’re only left with her word at this point. However, on top of her word, we’re also left with pieces to a puzzle that may very well paint a clearer picture of the scandalous and tragic life of Marilyn Monroe. Purchasing the photos. The man who bought the photos, Tony Michaels, was a neighbor and friend of Hull, and he claims to know some extra details pertaining to the baby bump. He claims that Hull was very adamant about keeping the photos a secret, and that she insists that Marilyn was, without a doubt, pregnant. Before death. Had Hull sold the photos prior to her death, she could have easily made a living off of them, but she refused to. In fact, Michaels tried convincing her to do so, but she stood her ground. She considered Marilyn to be a good friend, she never felt right to make them public, at least not when she was alive and not for profit. Taking the photos. The photos were taken in New York just outside Fox Studios. Marilyn was preparing to shoot “The Misfits,” a film that would also star Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift.
