Dusty Sappington, 40, from Terry, Mississippi, took to Reddit last week to share a photo of her eight-year-old daughter Izzy's math homework, writing: 'This third-grade math problem...' The math problem, which Dusty circled in red, reads: 'Janell had 15 marbles. She lost some of them. How many does Janell have now?' 'If someone can answer this correctly, my child will be done with her homework!' she said, noting her child wasn't given any additional instructions. Unsurprisingly, the tricky question left many Reddit users stumped, with some insisting that there wasn't an actual numerical answer. 'To be honest, I’m unsure if it was printed in error or was a question to test her knowledge of less than and greater than, which she has touched on in the past.'
