Three friends discover its secrets. 5. E.T., The Extra-Terrestrial via GIPHY This 1982 classic follows a boy who discovers E.T. and must try to get him home. You will likely feel nostalgic watching this movie that stars a young Drew Barrymore. 6. Practical Magic via GIPHY Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman star as supernatural sisters who try to end a family curse that is keeping them from finding true love. It is kind of a Halloween love story. 7. Hotel Transylvania The main character, Dracula, operates a high-end resort and must protect his daughter from the love of a young boy. Many people love the cartoon characters in this movie and it has a few movies in the series now. 8. The Craft This movie focuses on a group of girls who feel like outcasts. They ban together to learn witchcraft, but things quickly go wrong. 9. Scooby-Doo While there are plenty of Scooby Doo cartoons to watch, the live-action remake is funny and a little spooky. There is also a sequel with the same cast. Grab some Scooby snacks and sit down for some Halloween fun. 10. The Exorcist If you love scary movies, watch this movie from 1973. Young Frankenstein This movie is a tribute to the first Frankenstein movie and stars Gene Wilder. It is a comedy classic for Halloween. 19. Scream via GIPHY This is one of those perfect scary Halloween movies about a group of teens trying to outsmart a killer. There have been many remakes, so take your pick. 20. Buffy the Vampire Slayer If you loved this show, the movie does not disappoint. Buffy was a regular teenage girl, except for the fact that she kills vampires. It follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown as he tries to take over Christmas. 25. Halloween Before you watch the new version, watch the older one from 1978. It follows murderer Michael Myers as he comes back to terrorize his hometown. 26. Beetlejuice via GIPHY Don't say his name three times. This movie that is a little creepy but a lot funny, follows Beetlejuice, as a teen beckons him to get rid of spirits in her new home. 27. It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown via GIPHY Everyone loves Charlie Brown movies, right? This one is no exception and is a must watch every October. 28. The Shining This super scary movie from 1980 is about a haunted hotel and is inspired by the thrilling novel. 29.
