When a toy company produces an action figure for a limited time, or there’s a collectible doll decked out in diamonds, we’ve learned that they’ll likely be worth something of great value. L'Oiseleur Doll $6.25 million L’Oiseleur (or the Bird Trainer) is the world’s most expensive doll. The renaissance figure plays the flute, has a pair of singing birds, and keeps a sword at her side. She’s gear-operated and made out of 2,340 parts. It’s no wonder she’s so costly! 2. Madame Alexander Eloise $5 million These dolls are one of a kind; or you could say five of a kind, as there were only five produced. They were made for a charity auction in 2000 and are dressed in Harry Winston diamonds, Oscar de la Renta furs, Christian Dior clothing, and Swarovski crystals. 3. Diamond Barbies - Most Expensive Collectible Dolls $302,000 The diamond doll was created by Stefano Canturi, an Australian jewelry designer. Barbie wears a black strapless dress and a 1-carat pink diamond on her neck. 4. Steiff Limited Edition "Diamond Eyes Bear" $193,000 A German toy company made this to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the teddy bear. This limited-edition bear has a mouth of gold and sapphire eyes. 5. 1959 Barbie Doll Set $161,000 This vast collection of barbies is comprised of the notorious doll throughout the last 55 years. The price just goes to show how treasured Barbie really is. 6. G.I Joe Prototypes A.K.A Expensive Action Figures $200,000 The prototype of this famous action figure had 21 movable parts. The outfit worn was hand sewn and comes with a helmet and cantina. Stephen Geppi won the prototype in a 2003 auction, which was a nice addition to his comic store. 7. Transformers Generation 1 Collection $40,000 American toy company Hasbro and Japanese toy company Takara Tomy joined forces to create the 1984 series of Transformers toys. The action figures are finely detailed in their appearance and detachable accessories. 8. Michael Lau's Gardener Uncle $35,000 This action figure was created by artist Michael Lau and is based on a comic strip from East Touch magazine. Lau is known for creating vinyl-designed action figures, and there are only a few replicas of “Uncle.” 9. Star Wars Loose Action Figures $32,000 Standing as one of the most famous franchises ever, Star Wars’ original creations are widely pursued. In the pricey collection, you’ll find beloved characters, playsets, and ships. 10. Original Superman Action Figure $25,000 As one of comic books’ most famed heroes, it only makes sense that an original Superman action figure would have such a high selling price. These valuable and pricey originals were first made in the 1940s. 11. G.I Joe Manimals Vortex Figure $20,000 These action figures weren’t the most popular of the G.I creations and were discontinued in 1995. However, their limited production still gives them high value. 12. Vinyl Cape Jawa $18,000 These humanoids were featured in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The figures’ capes had a change in material quickly after they were first produced, making the originals very rare and valuable. 13. Mego Elastic Batman $15,000 The Mego Corporation created a series of stretch toys in 1979. Another toy company, Kenner, had previously made an elastic Armstrong figure. A lawsuit ensued due to the similarity between the products, causing Mego to stop making the elastic Batman figures. There are quite possibly only two in existence! 14. Muppets Collector's Set $9,999 The Muppets have remained relevant since they debuted in 1955. And since the 2011 Muppets movie was released, it’s only upped the value of the collectibles. 15. Original Barbie $8,000 She may not have come with a Malibu Dreamhouse at the time of her release, but the original Barbie comes at a much higher price. The 1959 Barbie is now valued at $8,000, unlike her contemporary $20 counterparts. The figure was initially not liked, so it was discontinued. That, of course, makes it worth that much more for the few people who own one of these collectibles! 17. Rocket-Firing Boba Fett Star Wars Figure $5,000 These figures weren’t such a great hit with parents, as the rocket-firing backpack was believed to be threatening to children. The original prototype was shown at the New York Toy Fair in 1979 and was auctioned for $150,000. 18. Peanut the Royal Blue Elephant Beanie Baby $3,000 Ty Warner usually makes a limited amount of their beanie babies, and Peanut is no exception. The elephants were originally designed to be a lighter blue, but a production mishap caused some to be made in the darker shade. 19. TMNT Scratch the Cat $1,000 The cat appeared in a 1993 video game, Radical Rescue, and its action figure was limitedly made and released, making it a valuable addition to the TMNT Collectibles. 20. Ghostface Doll $499.99 The fact that it’s adorned with 14-carat gold automatically makes these really expensive action figures.
