8. Prom King — and Possible Drag Queen

This prom queen looks more like a drag queen thanks to this scary makeup job. She definitely overdid it with the cat-eye look. Who knows? It could very well be two men.

9. Mercenary Moment

This family prom photo needs lots of explaining. Everybody is all smiles, but her prom dress looks like it was modeled after a tablecloth. And what’s with the matching vest? Oh, and the shirtless dad brandishing a rifle looks like he’s posing for the cover of Guns & Ammo.

10. Shotgun Threesome

What’s up with this gun-toting threesome? The middleman might be wishing the male date well, but the latter looks like he’s hoping the gun doesn’t go off. The girl, smiling brightly for the camera, is seemingly oblivious to it all.

11. Floral Camouflage

This couple had the best of intentions, opting for a floral backdrop for their prom photo. Her red dress brings out the white daffodils, and her white choker is a perfect matching accessory. We wonder what her date, crouching behind a bush, is hiding.

12. Headdress Trumps the Dress

This lace dress is perfectly subdued in comparison to her elaborate headdress, which looks like it’s about to take flight. The gold sunglasses are cutting out the glare of her casually jean-jacketed date.

13. The Hair’s the Thing

This guy wanted to end his high school years with a pointed statement. He wrote on Reddit, “High school prom in 1998. I had really long curly hair and wanted to cut it off soon, so I went out with a bang.” At least he wore a tux. We wonder how much product he had to use to get it to stick up straight like that.

These prom couples went for a twins approach with matching poses on matching chairs. The only thing that doesn’t quite match up is their attention to skin care. While the women are lily white, it looks like the men just enjoyed a full day of sun at the beach. Perhaps they had a two-for-one tanning salon session.
