Oooh, Spooky! Rumor has it that 23-year-old Ronald “Butch” DeFeo, Jr. shot his parents, two brothers and two sisters while they wre asleep. When in court, DeFeo testified that voices in his head made him do it. (Fun Fact: the house used in the film is not the real horror house, the real Amityville house is Amityville, New York.)
