It’s Freddy Krueger!

Part of the reason why we can’t fall asleep at night…this striped-tattered sweater is the image of our nightmares. As much as the adaptations may change, the ripped sweater and fedora clad outfit that Freddy wore when he was burned to death in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), never does.
