Although it’s been nearly two decades since a tragic car accident took the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, the world has remained completely enamored with her life and legacy, which includes her tireless charitable efforts across the globe in the fights against countless diseases, drug addiction, poverty and landlines While each of those things were of great importance to her, it was the relationship Diana had with her family; sons Prince’s William and Harry, and of course her husband Prince Charles that captured the hearts of millions.
However, while many hoped their fairytale love story, which began with a well-documented courtship in 1980 and the following year led to them jumping the broom at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, would stand the test of time- unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Just five years into their marriage reports circulated in the press of infidelities on both of their parts, with Charles linked to his former girlfriend Camilla Parker Bowles and Diana’s alleged tryst with a few men, including former British military officer James Hewitt.
Although they separated in 1992, their royal divorce wasn’t officially finalized on August 28, 1996.And the rest, they say… “Is History”
