Sophie Perry, Luke Perry‘s daughter, recently shared another post in his honor. It has been about three weeks since Luke’s shocking passing. About a week ago, Sophie shared her thoughts on online bullies and people trying to control her grieving process. Her latest post, although brief, gives us an update on how she’s doing.
Sophie shared a photo of her and her dad and an adorable puppy. They appear to be driving in the car and are both smiling brightly. She wrote a simple caption, “Miss him a little extra today,” with two yellow heart emojis.
Sophie has also taken to Instagram to say thank you to her mother after her father’s passing. Luke married Rachel “Minnie” Sharp in 1993. They had two children, Jack and Sophie. Unfortunately, they separated in 2003.
Sophie shared a photo of her and her mother with the caption, “You all know my dad is a superstar, but I just want to share for a moment that I got really f****** lucky in the parental department because this is my mom. Minnie. Who also happens to be my best friend. Wow, how cliche, I know. And she is the rock for everybody grieving in this family right now.”
She continues, “She’s the toughest and sweetest and most amazing woman I or anyone else has ever met. How did I get so lucky to have two icons for parents? I love you mom and I could not get through this absolute s*** situation without you. None of us could. Oh. And I was just informed it was national women’s day, how fitting for a post on my kick a** mama.”
If you scroll through the photos, you can also see a photo of a younger Minnie and then one with Luke and Minnie when they were together. We are glad that Sophie and her brother Jack have such a great support system as they go through this horrific experience of losing their beloved father.
Jack has also shared photos on Instagram and shared this experience after this loss. He is a wrestler and posted a photo of himself and then one of him and his dad many years ago.
The caption says, “He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved and supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be. I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you Dad.”
We hope that Sophie and her brother Jack continue to heal and share memories of their dad. We miss him so much and love to see these photos! Please SHARE this to send your best wishes to the Perry family!
