On April 7, 2019, the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards will be making yet another comeback with its host, Reba McEntire, as the award show’s host for the 16th year in a row! Reba went on CBS This Morning to announce the nominees the biggest CMA awards such as “Entertainer of the Year”.
While the “Entertainer of the Year” category is similarly all male as it was last year, there is a “Female Artist of the Year” category featuring some amazing women in country music as well like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert. “It doesn’t make me very happy because we’ve got some very talented women out there who are working their butts off,” Reba says of the lack of female artists in the “Entertainer of the Year” category.
