Some households already implement the rule of ‘no shoes’ and having them left behind at the door. However, this is also another great way to reduce the risk of spreading germs. Who knows what your shoes have picked up on the way there?

Researchers believe that yogurt has flu-fighting probiotics in them. In the same study, they found that the probiotics in yogurt could help stave off upper respiratory tract infections. Add some blueberries to your yogurt for extra strength to your immune system!

9. Keep phones out of the bathroom

Probably not, but we’re going to tell you anyway. 16% of cell phones are contaminated with germs or even fecal matter by being brought into the bathroom, according to this study. As tempting as it might be to scroll your social media feed or play games while you’re doing your business, it’s best to leave your phone out of it!

10. Get your flu shot

11. Change your bed sheets

This is a big one. A study shows that you should be changing your bed sheets weekly, or at least every other week. Sleeping in unchanged, dirty bed sheets increase the risk of harmful bacteria and even dust mites. Ew!
