If you love Elvis Presley and would love to live in the same place that he did, now you can! One of his old mobile homes is being auctioned off in GWS Auctions: “Legends: Iconic Film & Music Memorabilia” sale on August 25. Elvis often hung out in this 60-foot mobile home at his Circle G Ranch.
He apparently had about eight different mobile homes parked on his residence in Graceland. Elvis and his friends reportedly hid out in these mobile homes to get some privacy from the press and fans. Elvis was known as being very open with his fans, but every celebrity needs a break now and again!
He purchased this mobile home in 1967. After he died, two other people owned it but the registration still has Elvis Presley listed as he owner. They wanted it to stay original. The home has been restored to look just as it did in the 1960s. There are a lot of gold accents, something that Elvis loved. We bet he would be happy with the restorations.
The winner of the auction will not only get the mobile home but the original paperwork that has Elvis Presley’s signature. It would be so amazing to have his notarized signature! One of the lead auctioneers and co-founders of GWS Auctions says it is one of the coolest things they’ve ever auctioned off.
The auctioneers think that it might be a good buy for someone who would want to turn it into a traveling Elvis museum. There has reportedly been some interest from museums already. Whoever buys it, it will be ready to be moved right away to its new location.
The mobile home looks pretty amazing and very 1960s! We bet it looks just like it did when Elvis stayed in there. There will be other Elvis items on sale in an auction including cars, jewelry, his racquetball racquet, and much more. Check out more information and bid here!
What do you think about this auction? Would you consider buying this?
