Man Invents Device That Allows You To Drive Your Car From The Outside

By Jane Kenney

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive your car from the outside? YouTube user mastermilo82 has invented the WipKar, and many people are drawing comparisons to that of the famous Mr. Bean whose car was also driven from the outside.

The only catch about this car is that it can be extremely dangerous to ride and is not for the faint of heart. You’re seated high up in the air, while still having full access to the basic functions of the car. However, you could find yourself dropping a little bit when the car actually starts moving!

Many people online don’t know whether to find this invention cool, idiotic, unsafe, or all three. Milo’s YouTube channel is packed with car videos, and many of them entail his own personal inventions like this one. Business Insider compares this unconventional car ride to ‘a rollercoaster at a fair’.

When news broke about the invention, people couldn’t help but put in their two cents.

Always look to Mr. Bean for inspiration on anything. Primarily driving your car from the outside.

Is this me or is the epitome of stupidity https://t.co/seTLOmgbyC

It might be pretty stupid. Stupidly awesome!

Weird invention…but maybe a fun ride. https://t.co/Lg872iZvAN

It’s definitely a little odd-looking, but if you’re game for a rollercoaster ride with several warnings signs written all over it, it could be fun, too!

There have been multiple videos of ‘WipKars’ throughout the years, and two girls recently took on the challenge as well. In the video that actually originated from 2010, the driver is pretty much flooring it the entire time, then brings it to a full hard stop. This made the seats go flying forward and then pop back up, a norm for the WipKar.

Milo was an exhibitionist at a convention called Vakkanjers Live. The convention was ultimately designed for professionals to inspire youth into pursuing technical careers. At the convention, Milo built the WipKar, a project that had originally remained untouched for about six years. The project was able to be completed in that one day and has now become an Internet phenomenon.

Be sure to SHARE this article if you think this invention is certifiably insane! Additionally, be sure to watch one of the many clips of the WipKar below!
