When dogs and babies get along, it’s really the most heartwarming thing. However, this beagle named Charlie just changed the game and helped the family’s new addition fall asleep. How? By rocking her to sleep in her crib. Charlie looks up at his owner to ensure that he’s doing a good job. And he most certainly is!
It’s an absolutely adorable moment as Charlie gently pushes the cradle swing with his paw and baby Laura smiles as she’s being rocked. While some parents would probably be apprehensive about this, baby Laura and Charlie’s mom had no issues with letting the family dog help out!
That video was back in 2014 and there’s an entire YouTube channel dedicated to Charlie and the baby, who is now much older. There’s also a new furry friend in the family named Lilly, another beagle. The channel has over 100,000 subscribers and averages a couple thousand views per video, sometimes more depending on the topic (like their What The Fluff Challenge video that got 38K views).
Many people have expressed their views on this video, much of it being positive and not apprehensive about letting a dog near a newborn.
Many commenters such as this one have praised the dog for his intelligence and being such a great helper to the family.
Some were praising the family for allowing Charlie to be a valued member of the family who can help out when need be.
One person even asked if Charlie was trained or just picked these tricks up on his own. The owner of the dog and YouTube channel responded saying that she does train him, but he does them sometimes at his own will.
The most recent video that can be found on the YouTube channel was uploaded about a week ago. It’s of Charlie and the new puppy, Lilly, taking a swim together. In the video they teach the new furry friend how to swim! It is assumed that ‘baby’ Laura, who is not much of a baby anymore, is also in the background of the video.
