Sometimes household tasks can be downright annoying. However, there are clever hacks that you can use to do just about anything. From a better way to open a tight lid to fixing that clogged toilet even if you don’t have a plunger, you should bookmark this for the next time you have a household issue.
Here are some of the best problem-solving household hacks you should remember.
You have probably dealt with a jar that is almost impossible to open. You may have tried every trick in the book. Simply wear rubber gloves and pop it open! It should only take a few tries.
If you want to save your favorite snack and don’t have a chip clip handy, just flatten the bag to remove excess air. Fold the corners in to make triangles. Then tightly roll the bag and pull the triangles over the roll to keep it nice and secure until the next time you snack.
If you forgot about your chips and they went stale, don’t throw them away! Just pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds and they will taste good as new.
Ever clog someone’s toilet and realize they don’t have a plunger? Yikes! Ask for some dish soap and hot water. This can also work if the plunger isn’t helping.
This one requires a little bit of arm strength and a shoe with a wooden sole. If you want to open a bottle of wine but don’t have a bottle opener, put the bottle in your shoe and bang the heel against the wall. If you bang hard enough, the cork should pop right out!
Wrap a pipe cleaner on each side of the hanger to keep tank tops and other flimsy shirts on the hanger and not on your floor.
Ever put on a shirt and realize you got deodorant all over it? Take a used dryer sheet and rub it on the stain. It should go away in a jiffy.
