Eva Longoria, 43, has officially welcome her new bundle of joy into the world! His name is Santiago Enrique Bastón. She and her husband, José “Pepe” Bastón, are overjoyed at becoming new parents.
The baby boy was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz. This is Eva and José’s first child together.
Eva Longoria originally told PEOPLE that she was overwhelmed with emotion prior to her labor. “[I’m] excited but nervous. Nervous, excited, emotional,” she says. She also stated that her family would not be in the delivery room with her, but that they would be present otherwise.
She celebrated her baby boy’s arrival with a pajama party-themed baby shower in May.
“She was glowing. She kept laughing and touching her baby bump. They played several baby games and Eva was in the best mood. At the end of the shower, Pepe showed up and Eva got very emotional. He thanked the guests for coming and said that they can’t wait to meet their baby. It was a very special baby shower,” a source from the baby shower told PEOPLE. Aww!
The happy couple also celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary in May.
Eva found out the gender of her baby during her pregnancy, and she was thrilled that she was having a son.
“I’m so excited that I’m having a boy because I think the world needs more good men. This boy, my son, will be surrounded by very strong, educated, powerful women,” Longoria said in March. We have no doubt that she will be successful in raising a well-mannered gentleman!
Eva and José will definitely be wonderful parents to this adorable little boy. A huge congratulations to the new parents!
