The CMT Awards aired on Wednesday night, June 6, and only the best of the best attended and were honored that evening. The awards show took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
As expected, Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton took home the top awards of the evening, including best Male and Female Video of the Year. Carrie Underwood left the awards with 18 awards from the show, continuing to be the most-awarded artist in CMT history.
The awards show marked the first CMT award for many artists, including Carly Pearce, Kane Brown, and even Ludacris! Many of the newer artists received recognition for their incredible work over the past few years.
