Arnold Schwarzenegger, the famous bodybuilder, actor, and former politician, recently had emergency open heart surgery.
According to TMZ, the 70-year-old Terminator star went to the hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2018, for a catheter valve replacement. During the surgery, he experienced complications, so doctors rushed him into emergency open heart surgery, which took several hours.
TMZ reports that Arnold is in stable condition now. Arnold’s family have not yet commented.
This isn’t Arnold’s first open heart surgery. He first went under the knife in 1997 to have an aortic valve replaced. Although doctors didn’t feel the procedure was absolutely necessary, Arnold wanted to have the surgery while he was young and healthy, to avoid any potential problems.
