People have many different ideas of what the American Dream is, but as a kid, I believed that the American Dream was having a trampoline in your backyard. I would try extra hard to make friends at school with the kids who had one, in the hopes I would be invited over. I'll never forget the Christmas when my cousins got a trampoline and we spent a solid 20 hours jumping around and doing flips. The mesh keeps weeds out, while the legs act as supports for fencing to prevent animal intruders from munching on your greens. 5. Turn it into an instant umbrella to give your patio some shade! 6. Prop it up against a tree and use it as an outdoor movie screen. 7. With some cushions, strong rope, and lush linens, you can also turn it into a backyard cabana. 8. Turn your trampoline into an outdoor tent. Your kids and their friends can now go camping right in the backyard! 9. It’s sort of like a hammock, teepee, and tent all in one. 10. How about this trampoline-turned-lounger? 11. Who needs a tire swing when you have a trampoline swing? 12. Trampolines make for an awesome goal post for soccer practice. By attaching it to a fixed base, you can create a beautiful arch that will get covered with lush vines and provide you with a relaxing place to sit and steal some shade. No one will believe you when you tell them you made it from an old trampoline! 18. Tear apart that old and broken trampoline and create something truly beautiful. A chicken coop needs to be designed well -- like with a curved or arched roof that won't let water pool -- but at the same time, it's not something you really want to spend a ton of money on. With some scrap wood, an old trampoline, chicken wire and a little ingenuity you can create this too. 20. Use the curved frame of the trampoline and some fencing to create a breathable but totally pest-proof garden.
