As the most traveled monarch in U.K. history, Queen Elizabeth II has needed to come up with a system to beat jet lag. Her cure? Homeopathic remedies, including barley sugar candies, according to the Independent. The sweets can supposedly adjust the body clock to a new place by helping the blood sugar match the eating schedule in the destination.

8. Pine-scented soaps

The Queen spends many weeks of the year on the road, so it’s no surprise that she appreciates the little things that remind her of home when traveling abroad. Even little things like a familiar scented soap make all the difference, and it’s been reported that she favors a pine-scented bar when washing her hands.
