The Krazy Coupon Lady

So, basically, it is the mold spores and bacteria that ruin the strawberry fun for you. To fight this you can follow this simple, 4-step procedure:

  1. Pour 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 1/2 cups of water in a bowl.
  2. Next, soak strawberries in this mixture for only a few minutes. And meanwhile, watch the water turn all grimy and ugly as the bacteria comes off of the strawberries.
  3. After that, dry the strawberries very thoroughly by using paper towels. you can choose to either put them in a salad spinner or let them dry in a colander. Either way, make sure that they get perfectly dried, or else you risk the mold spread again.
  4. Put the strawberries back in the refrigerator on top of paper towels.
