Amazing Photographs That Show How The World Is Changing

If so, re.photos website, recently established by a group of people fascinated with then-and-now photography, has a database full of pictures that might help you out. This database allows anyone, who shares the love for before and after pictures, to contribute their photographs and compare how a street, an area, or a famous landmark looks like now and the way it did way back in the past. St. Matthew Evangelical Church, Łódź, Poland, 1937 Aren’t those stained glass windows simply beautiful? Imagine how they must look in person! 2. Paris, France, 1900 I love how not much of this bridge has changed other than the modernization of the boats! You could walk right through history here! 3. The Karlstor, Munich, Germany 1946 The sign over the archway is more relevant now than ever, maybe they should put it back! 4. Reichstag, Berlin, Germany, 1945 This restoration is simply beautiful, especially when you consider how much of the building was destroyed in the first photo. 5. Moulin Rouge, Paris, France, 1900 This one should be a wake-up call for anyone actually expecting it to look like it did in that movie with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. 6. Frauenkirche Dresden, Dresden, Germany, 1897 The original building was destroyed in World War Two, which just makes the restoration even more remarkable! 7. Marcin Street, Poznań, Poland, 1945 This one just shows that we can survive anything as long as we all support each other. 8. Kjeåsen Railway Bridge, Kjeåsen, Norway, 1927 The only thing that’s really changed is the train! Although the extra trees are a nice addition too! 9. Rysstad, Norway, 1888 If it weren’t for the white building in the background, this place would be completely unrecognizable! 10. Engabreen glacier, Norway, 1889 I love how they even went to the effort to capture someone sitting in the same place! That’s dedication, right there. 11. The Eiffel Tower, Paris, France, 1910 I kind of wish they’d kept those originally curved viewing platforms, they look great! 12. Martin Luther Statue, Dresden, Germany, 1958 Both the building and the statue are amazing! The restorative work that went into this is unbelievable. 13. The Grinnell Glacier, Montana, USA, 1911 The snow hasn’t even moved, there’s just less of it in the modern day! 14. Horse Cart and Steam Locomotive, Mont Saint-Michel, France, 1908 I wonder if this is where they got the inspiration for Hogwarts castle? Because it looks magical! 15. Corner of Ratajczaka and Św. Marcin Streets, Poznań, Poland, 1945 I wonder if this building was that color originally? It looks great either way! 16. Osnabrück Central Railway Station, Germany, 1965 I love how most of the cars have been replaced by bikes! 17. The Eiffel Tower, Paris, France, 1900 Wouldn’t you love to sail past the tower on one of those boats down the river? 18. Hobfräuhaus München, Germany, 1910 That roof is so unusual and recognizable, it would be a crime to alter it! 19. St-Gervais-Et-St-Protais, France, 1918 I love how much of the original building they’ve kept as part of this restoration! 20. Quai Des Nations, Paris, France, 1900 As much as I love all of the greenery, is it wrong that I’m a little sad that all of those old buildings are no longer there? They looked fascinating! 21. Hammerfest, Norway, 1889 Unless you saw these pictures, there’s no way you’d think this was the same place! Time has really altered this one!
