Louise Bonito’s 102nd birthday party will certainly be one for her family to remember – but not necessarily for the reasons they might have thought.
The grandmother from Connecticut reached the impressive age on April 26, but celebrated with her loved ones on Sunday, which was also Mother’s Day in the US.
The family presented Mrs Bonito with a cake and sang Happy Birthday, before the pensioner was told that she would have to blow out her candles.
“I took a deep, deep, breath and with all my might I blew out the candles and then my teeth came out,” the birthday girl told ABC News.
The hilarious moment at which her dentures made a surprise appearance was caught on camera and has since become a viral video hit.
“We were all laughing for at least a good hour afterwards,” her granddaughter Lisa Addario revealed.
