Chattanooga Firefighters Flash Mob To ‘Stayin’ Alive’ (Video)

We all love firefighters and first responders but this group of brave men takes the cake!

CPR would be the salvation for many heart patients. But not everyone knows how to apply it correctly. A flash mob video of the fire department in Chattanooga (USA) now shows how everyone can learn and use CPR correctly. The firemen of Chattanooga appear to be getting to an emergency, where a man has collapsed and has to be revived. A distraught woman who is with him does not know how to perform CPR correctly. In order to remedy this lack of knowledge and future grievances, the Chattanooga Fire Department has shot a Flash Mob video.

This “Stayin’ Alive” video is meant to be a humorous and hopefully entertaining way to promote the value of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). It’s part of a graduation video for Chattanooga Fire Academy 2013. This video was a gift to the graduates of Chattanooga Fire Academy 2013 and is not for sale. No profit was made from the production of this video. Mobile users can view this and other videos at http://www.chattanooga.gov/fire-depar….

As explained in the credits following the video, the firefighters are professional rescuers, so they used the technique of 30 chest compressions to two ventilations. Non-professionals are encouraged to learn CPR and use the “Hands-Only” technique advocated by the American Heart Association, which involves 100 compressions per minute. If you apply the compressions to the beat of “Stayin’ Alive,” you will achieve the rate of roughly 100 compressions per minute. You can do that! For more information on CPR, visit the American Heart Association’s website at www.heart.org. The American Red Cross also teaches “Hands-Only” CPR. Visit their website at Redcross.org.

Do it! You might save a life!
