Xavier Gourmelon was one of the French firefighters who was on duty at Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris where the fateful accident of Princess Diana took place. After 20 years of the accident, the French firefighter reveals the Princess’s last words in an interview with The Sun.
Gourmelon did not closely follow the British royalty news and hence did not recognize the Princess immediately. It was only after she was put into the ambulance that one of the paramedics revealed whom he had just helped. He took a peek inside and quickly recognized her.
