It is clear that we have advanced in leaps and bounds when it comes to our technologies. However, back then, we believed that we were fully advanced already with the devices that we already had. It never occurred to us that these things would only get better in time. For that reason, these 10 technologies have been surpassed and will never be seen again. 1. 45 Records. These made music accessible to everyone. Even Kids. A lot of these records had storytelling and comics on them. They were great! 2. Video Arcade Game. These have all been wiped away. There used to be entire corners of businesses, or else, entire businesses dedicated to housing these so that we could go play them. Now, they are few and far between. 3. Rotary Knobs. No more bulky stereo to carry around because we had this ultimate, compact device! 5. Discman CD Player. The only bad part about these was that the disc would often skip if you were moving it around a lot. So, that hindered your ability to be mobile with it a little. 6. Beeper. You were really cool if you had one of these! It’s still unbelievable that this happened at all because before this, nobody could get a hold of you if you were away from a phone. Remember when this was the only phone in your house of 5 people? Also, it was usually in the kitchen so that everyone heard your entire conversation anyway. No privacy in those days! 8. Cell Phone. Now this was just a step above the ‘bag phone’ because the entire device could be held in your hand. It was difficult to carry around because of its size but there was nothing cooler than making a call away from any phone lines or buildings. However, thank goodness they were around because even away from home we had to use the phone and finding one of these was a blessing. 10. Television Set. This was considered high tech back then.
