Needless to say, people were not thrilled to hear he’d be writing the screenplay for the actress to star in the female-centric Ball biopic, and it appears emotions are still high regarding the most recent confirmation. In a tweet, one wrote:
“Cate Blanchett to play Lucille Ball in a biopic written by Aaron Sorkin. Let me just say this sounds HORRENDOUSLY BAD.”
Another skeptical tweet reads:
“I’m a little nervous about an Aaron Sorkin Lucille Ball movie, since dude hasn’t written a decent female character since CJ Cregg.”
One more tweet blatantly reads:
“How many more biopics is Aaron Sorkin going to do? zzzzzzzzzzzz.”
