The 'Titanic' Cast Reunited After 20 Years And Everyone Is Making The Same Joke

If you're wondering why a bunch of Titanic stories have been popping up lately, it's because 2017 is the film's 20-year anniversary. James Cameron is making a documentary about it and everything. On Wednesday, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation held its yearly gala to raise money for environmental causes. A whole bunch of celebrities went, Madonna performed, and — most importantly — Leo's Titanic co-stars made an appearance. It was the perfect opportunity for Billy Zane to up his Instagram game with the following, spectacularly captioned photo: And the fun begins NEXT... 1. 20 Years Ago Believe it or not, 2017 marks 20 years since the release of the movie Titanic. The movie made over $600 million at the U.S. box office, breaking all kinds of records. And new audiences continue to discover it as the years have passed. 2. The Leo Foundation Since then, Leonardo DiCaprio has started the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, dedicated to helping the environment. It was founded in 1998 and has funded hundreds of projects that will protect the planet. 3. 2017 Gala The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation holds a big gala every year to raise money. For the 2017 gala, Leo was joined by Billy Zane and Kate Winslet. That's right, it was a Titanic reunion. 4. 'Titanic' Gram When Billy Zane posted the reunion photo on his Instagram, he included a caption. It said, "Gangs back together. Now we're saving icebergs. Go figure. Now here's where the fun really begins... 5. Keen Observation Billy Zane wisely observed the irony of the situation. They were in a movie where an iceberg destroys lives, but now they're trying to stop icebergs from being destroyed. But he wasn't the only one to make that connection. Click NEXT to read more... 6. Copycats On Twitter, many people were also talking about the reunion of Leo, Kate, and Billy. And in nearly each case, they seemed to notice the same thing. Unlike 20 years ago, now the three of them are trying to save the iceberg. More on NEXT page... 7. Highest Of Ironies Perhaps everyone saw Billy Zane's Instagram first and simply stole his observation. Or maybe it was a bit obvious, so multiple people reached the same conclusion. Either way, the repetition just kept on happening. And then this NEXT twitter banter continues... 8. Patching Things Up Not only did Jack patch things up with Cal, he also patched things up with the iceberg itself. Perhaps there's a lesson here. If Jack, Kate, Cal and the iceberg can get along, maybe there's hope for everybody Like an Eveready battery.... 9. Putting Aside Differences Have a relative with whom you disagree with politically? Or maybe you got into a big fight with an old friend and haven't been able to patch things up? Well, if Leo and the iceberg can make things work, maybe you can too. And the joke continues NEXT.... 10. Brave Man Perhaps we should give Leo credit for his bravery. He was killed by an iceberg, but he's not worried about an iceberg killing him a second time. Now that's selfless. And NEXT... 11. Feeling Salty Eventually, people stopped posting about how ironic it is that Leo is now saving the iceberg. But perhaps the only reason Leo is doing it is out of guilt. Why would Leo feel, guilty, you might ask? And it just keeps going... 12. Causing The Crash The reason Leo might feel guilty is because of this. Jack and Rose distracted those looking out for icebergs by making out. It's their fault And going... 13. More Copycats Just like the observation about Leo saving icebergs, this other observation was repeated on Twitter as well. Which makes sense. Once you realize this is the case, it's kind of a big deal. And going... 14. Jack And Rose All this time, you've been rooting for Jack and Rose to get together. And all this time, you felt sad that they couldn't be together when it was all over. And yet, the whole things was really their fault. 15. Saving The Iceberg So perhaps Leo feels bad for causing the Titanic to hit the iceberg in the first place. So now he's doing what he can to help icebergs, which helps the whole planet, which helps the people on the planet.
