Although he denied any drug addiction, the gaunt look and extreme weight loss suggested otherwise. Soon, fans were pouring in their concerns about the star’s health, which ultimately gave rise to rumors of drug use.
But putting an end to conjectures, Culkin told in an interview with The Guardian, “no, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever. The thing that bugged me was tabloids wrapping it all in this weird guise of concern. No, you’re trying to shift papers.”
Culkin’s personal life was much like a roller coaster ride. After doing two films post Home Alone, he took a hiatus of nearly ten years. He went through one divorce and a long-term relationship with Mila Kunis. It was during this break that he was rumored to have been addicted.

But all’s well that ends well! After numerous photos of a lanky and unhealthy Culkin doing rounds, he was recently spotted at a convenience store, in a completely different and much better look. Donning a casual attire, Culkin was surprisingly seen in a shorter hair cut than he is normally pictured in.
For a lot of fans, Culkin’s new and impressive look was a perfect embodiment of what they envisioned for him while he was still a child actor. Although he prefers to stay out of the spotlight for most of the time, spotting him in this new look has given hopes and inspirations to many fans. It is believed that a transformed appearance could be because of his upcoming film, Changeland. Whatever the reason, we’re glad to see Macaulay Culkin’s altered look.
