The mega star and charitable former talk show host has not one but multiple charities that she has founded, including the Oprah Winfrey Operating Foundation. Winfrey joined the rest of the world and participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge this past summer in support of the ALS Association.

The popular talk show host led a global push back in May to end cruel experiments that were planned on dogs in Taiwan. The Taiwanese government planned on infecting unvaccinated beagle puppies with rabies.

Like his fellow Grammy-winner Willie Nelson, Australian country star Urban is both creative and charitable. Last month, Urban designed a special holiday ornament that is on sale right now through St Jude’s online gift shop. All of the profits will benefit St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

The actor and Oscar-winning screenwriter is the founder of H20 Africa and one of the founders of Water.org and Not On Our Watch, the latter of which he founded with friends Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Don Cheadle and Jerry Weintraub. Last month, Damon, along with Ben Affleck, Will Ferrell, Bono and other celebrities, appeared in a video made by the ONE Campaign to promote the fight against Ebola in West Africa.

The award-winning journalist and talk show host, who co-founded Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), personally reached out to viewers through phone, Facebook, Instagram and other social media networks during the star-studded Stand Up to Cancer telecast in September. Along with Couric, many celebrities appeared and helped promote cancer research, including Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Stiller and Ariana Grande.
