The 7,000-square-foot house was designed in 1938 by a man often called the architect to the stars, Paul Williams, also the first African-American to receive an American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. The two-storey Colonial Revival home on Delfern Drive not only attracted Hepburn, but other members of silver-screen royalty such as David Niven, Mia Farrow and, most recently, Eva Gabor.
In fact, the property is officially hailed as the Eva Gabor Estate. After Gabor’s death in 1995, the home was sold to its current owners for reportedly over US$2 million.
