33. Kevin Costner In Shawshank Redemption

Costner, one of the biggest movie stars throughout the 1980s was offered the leading role in the “Shawshank Redemption.” Costner passed up the role so he could focus on his passion project “Waterworld,” which resulted in one of the biggest flops in movie history. The role of Andy Defresne ultimately went to Tim Robbins.
