Top Ten Blockbusters Of 1977

  • The Spy Who Loved Me (July 13th, 1977)The late but great Roger Moore stars as the famous James Bond in this epic action odyssey about a globe-trotting assignment which requires him to ski off the edges of cliffs and drive a car deep down in the sea. These are just a few of the crazy stunts pulled in this particular Bond film. He unites with sexy Russian agent Anya Amasova who is played by Barbara Bach to trace down and eliminate megalomaniac shipping aristocrat Karl Stromberg who is played by Curt Jurgens, who is threatening to take down New York City with a collection of nuclear weapons. Bond’s most deadly and reappearing foe on the case is Stromberg’s henchman, Jaws who is played byRichard Kiel, a seven-foot giant with horrifying teeth made of steel.
  • A Bridge Too Far (June 15th, 1977)In the year 1944, the Allies seem to have the high horse in the European land war. A combined British and American paratrooper force, led by American general Gavin and British general Urquhart played by Sean Connery, plans to take a highway leading from the Netherlands into Germany, so that British ground troops that are led by Lieutenant General Horrocks played by Edward Fox and Lieutenant Colonel Vandeleur played by Michael Caine can enter the bad guys’s territory. The Allies soon find out that they may have been a little too brash.
