  • 1942 – Sammy Kaye and his orchestra recorded “I Left My Heart at the Stage Door Canteen.”
  • 1955 – “Eddy Arnold Day” was declared in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • 1956 – Elvis Presley made his second appearance on Milton Berle’s “Texaco Star Theatre”.
  • 1956 – Gene Vincent’s “Be-Bop-A-Lula” was released.
