10. Tanning (Before We Knew How Bad The Sun Was)

A reflector with some Bain de Soleil Gelee (oh I loved that smell), baby oil and/or Coppertone was our way of getting a deep, dark tan.

11. We put Sun-In in our hair and prayed “this time” it would turn blonde instead of orange

12. We Lounged On These Aluminum Folding Webbed Reclining Lawn Chairs

13. We Played Lawn Games During The Summer

Dangerous lawn games! I’m pretty sure these lawn darts, or Jarts, got disconnected because of how dangerous they were!

14. Knew How To Throw A Frisbee

15. Enjoyed Playing Horseshoes

17. We went Miniature. Or was it Putt-Putt Golfing?

19. Catching Fireflies And Frogs

We weren’t afraid to get down and dirty.

20. We played outside until the streetlights came on

21. And the treats! Whether it was the ice cream truck or mom’s freezer for a popsicle!
