Sea Monkeys: Pet or Toy?

They combined the joy of owning pets with the mystery of growing something (well, technically hatching in this case) yourself. Now, I never did have the joy of personally ordering them from a comic book. Now, you can imagine how devastating it was for me when the lady who used to watch us when my mother wasn’t around threw the contents of the tank down the drain. To her, it was just a container of dirty water with grimy little things floating around in it, but to me it was an inconsolable heartbreak. If only she knew how much my strange pet meant to me!
