Bindi Irwin has officially announced a new book on her family’s conservation efforts on what is now known as Steve Irwin Day. She took to Instagram to announce the new book called Creating a Conservation Legacy, which is now available through Australia Zoo’s website.
“Almost 5 years in the making. Looking through countless archives, Dad’s old journals, Australia Zoo booklets and photographs tucked away in office corners. It’s finally here,” Bindi writes on Instagram. “I wrote this book to capture the very essence of our extraordinary 50 year history. Now, I’m sharing this journey with you. ❤️ ”
The Instagram post also came with plenty of photos featuring the whole family; herself, her husband Chandler, mom Terri, and brother Robert. They’re all pictured holding their own physical copy of the new book. The book itself celebrates Australia Zoo’s 50th birthday and will take readers through its history from humble beginnings to now being one of the country’s leading conservationists.

The book also comes out to celebrate Steve Irwin Day, which is November 15th. Of course, Bindi took to Instagram to celebrate the official day for her late father. “November 15, Steve Irwin Day. Wear your best khaki and celebrate with us as we remember Dad’s life and legacy. ” she posts on the special day.
Chandler made sure to praise his expectant wife for her accomplishments on the new book. “My amazing wife has released her book ‘Creating a Conservation Legacy’. She has dedicated the past 5 years to documenting Australia Zoo’s remarkable 50-year history through her own eyes. I am so proud of you, @bindisueirwin. This book is the most incredible achievement,” he writes on Instagram.
