Robin Williams’ son Zak finally got hitched to his girlfriend, Olivia June, and it was on World Mental Health Day of all days! 37-year-old Zak has been an advocate for mental health awareness since his father died by suicide six years ago. Zak shared a photo of the two on their wedding day alongside a caption.
“I had the great joy of marrying my best friend @oliviajune today! It went awesome and we couldn’t have tied the knot on a better day. #WorldMentalHealthDay,” the caption reads.
The two hosted a COVID-safe wedding outdoors for the special occasion. Also present for the big day was their 17-month-old, McLaurin, named after Robin’s middle name. Olivia shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos to her Instagram, showcasing the day’s events. She even shared a snap of the menu, featuring wild arugula, seared snapper, and wedding cake.

Zak recently spoke to PEOPLE about hosting a wedding during the ongoing pandemic. “In terms of the planning process, it’s been challenging, but it’s cool to see how safe you can be, while enjoying a festive occasion together,” he says at the time.
Zak first met Olivia following the tragic loss of his father back in 2014. “I was going through a challenging time in my life and she was supportive and there when I needed someone,” he says of their relationship.
“I’m so thrilled that we now have a family,” Zak adds. “I’m looking forward to building this life I’ve always wanted to have and growing together.” Congratulations to the newlyweds, best wishes for a life full of love and happiness! Cheers!
