Barbara Eden recently celebrated her 89th birthday with a photo posted to her Instagram account. She looks radiant as ever and absolutely ageless. Seriously, she looks half her age in this photo. Her following could not believe how stunning she looked and how she seems to not age at all.
“Barbara what is your secret??? You don’t age at All!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️” one fan writes. Another says, “The happiest birthday to you!!!! One of my favorite actresses of my childhood 💕💕💕💕💕” A final comment simply says, “She looks great!” Ain’t that the truth?
The Instagram account seems to be run by a separate team and not Eden herself. The whole team wished her a happy birthday via the caption of the photo. “All of us on Team Eden wish our favorite blonde, Rider of the Wild Surf, Voyager to the Bottom of the Sea, nemesis of the Harper Valley PTA and of course, the eternal Lady in the Bottle a very happy Birthday today! We welcome everyone to take a moment and send your birthday wishes and thoughts to Ms. Barbara Eden, today, her birthday!”

It’s not clear how Eden celebrated her 89th birthday, but we can imagine she managed to have fun still in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. She last shared a photo back on the 4th of July, showing everyone how she was celebrating that day. Last year for her 88th birthday, she actually opened up about how she got her most famous TV role, Jeannie, over a bunch of tall brunettes.
“They were testing all the gorgeous brunettes in town,” she says of the 1965 casting call. “I mean, they were all fitness girls! Six-foot tall! Dark hair! Great bodies! And I thought, ‘Well that leaves me — the short blonde — out.” At age 34, she secured the role of Jeannie and made history with this timeless classic.
