Fans have been sharing their own thoughts and experiences with the late actor. A Twitter user responds, “I met your dad twice. The 2nd time he was signing my football and was getting pulled away by some bigwig. He stayed and messed with me like Charlie Brown and Lucie. As I reached for the ball he said oops wait till it dries. He was the best. Yoinked it right away as I thanked him.”

Another says, “I interviewed your Dad in 1991 after him and Wayne Gretzky and Bruce McNall bought the Argos. We sat down, just the two of us, and talked for about 30 minutes. He was very nice to me, a complete stranger to him. I will never forget his kindness.”
