John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John recently reunited at the Meet n’ Grease sing-along event in Florida. At the event, they went back to their roots and dressed up as Danny and Sandy for the first time in over 40 years. They admitted it was their first time in costume since they made the iconic film.
At first, Olivia wore the yellow cardigan and matching skirt while John wore an all-black outfit and leather jacket. Olivia posted a backstage photo on her Instagram account and captioned it, “First time in costume since we made the movie. So excited!!”
Later, Olivia changed into an all-black outfit with black leggings and a leather jacket, reminiscent of the outfit at the end of Grease. After a sing-along showing of the movie, John and Olivia held a Q&A and meet and greet for fans.

Their fun reunion was just a month after Olivia auctioned off the leather jacket she wore in the movie. Someone purchased the jacket for $243,000 but later gave it back to the actress. The money was donated to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Center. Olivia plans to put the jacket on permanent display at the research center.
The anonymous buyer said to Olivia, “This jacket belongs to you and the collective soul of those who love you. Those for whom you are the soundtrack of their lives. It should not sit in a billionaire’s closet for country club bragging rights. For this reason, I humbly and respectfully return it to its rightful owner, which is you. Godspeed for a quick recovery.”
Olivia has been battling cancer on and off since 1992. Her latest diagnosis was in 2017 when doctors told her that her cancer has spread to her bones. However, it seems she is doing well, so that is good news!
