Former TODAY host Kathie Lee Gifford recently went back on the show to catch up with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. She talked about her love life and how she recently went on her first date in 33 years! Kathie Lee was married to Frank Gifford from 1986 until he died in 2015. Several years later, it seems she is ready to start dating again.
The 66-year-old now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She reveals how a man recently caught her eye. She said, “I went out with friends to a club to hear my favorite band down there, the Smoking Section. Tim Akers & the Smoking Section.”
She continued, “I went to hear them, and this sweet guy asked me to dance, and so I said, ‘OK.’ And then he just disappeared into the crowd. And then, you know, a couple of weeks later, the same band — Tim Akers & the Smoking Section — so we danced again. And then we just went out a couple of times. It was fun because I hadn’t been on a date in 33 years.”

Kathie Lee admitted that the whole experience was a “surreal” and “strange experience.” She shared, “You know, it’s surreal. ‘Cause the world’s changed so much, you know. But he’s a gentleman, so it was fine. It was fine. It was fun. But then I got so busy. We’re just from different worlds.”
Kathie Lee has been busy filming and promoting her new film on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. The film is called A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love, premiering Nov. 17. Watch the trailer for the movie below:
